Long-time industry merchant Kevin McLain passes

obit 2 candlesLemonye, Penn. – Kevin McLain – whose more than 30-year career as a merchant spanned discount, mid-tier, specialty and close-out retailing – died on June 21 at the age of 60.

His family created a Life Tributes page at Musselman Funeral Home that announced his passing.  Information about services was not included.

McLain spent the most recent 12 years of his career at Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, where he served as Senior Vice President and General Merchandise Manager. He retired from that position on May 1 of this year.

From 1997-2011, he served as Senior Vice President for , where he was responsible for overarching operations.

Prior to that, McClain was Vice President and Merchandise Manager for 14 years with Anna’s Linens, the now-defunct and home goods based in Costa Mesa, Calif. Prior to his position with Anna’s Linens, he served in various managerial roles for the Target Corporation.
