Design Trends at the NY Home Fashions Market

Today, Warren talks to Robbie Sumberg and Joan Lieberman, design consultants at Showoffs, about the design and color trends they have seen at this market and also the recent European shows.

Robbie said there were a lot of fresh and exciting new products on the horizon including lots of chevrons, large florals and modern geometrics, with a lot of eco awareness and repurposed material. A lot of the same trends you see in the latest apparel are being used in home textiles.

Joan Liberman added that vintage is the buzz word at all the European shows this year. She added that vintage was not only hot at the shows, but also in the local department stores and even the look of the runway models.
