High Point, N.C. — Buoyed by improvements in its upholstery fabric and mattress ticking businesses, Culp Inc. had a profit of $3 million in the quarter ended Jan. 31 and recorded its first year-over-year sales gain in two years. more

6. More Americans to shop with tax refunds this year
Washington – While many Americans plan to use their tax refunds to lower debt or boost savings, the percentage who expect to splurge with the money increased slightly this year. more

7. Sunbrella brand goes mobile
Glen Raven, N.C. -- Glen Raven has launched a mobile version of its popular Sunbrella fabrics Web site, making it easy to use a hand-held device to search a fabrics library and locate the nearest Sunbrella fabrics resource. more
