1. Weekly comps continue to rise
New York – Same-store sales showed another solid gain during the second week of March, rising 3.3% on top of a 3.1% increase a week earlier, the Johnson Redbook reported today. Until this month, weekly comps had not shown an increase of 3.0% or better since April 2007. more

2. ShopNBC 4Q sales rise, loss narrows
Minneapolis – Higher sales and a richer margin helped pare net loss for the fourth quarter to 27 cents per share from a loss of $1.30 per share in the previous 4Q. more

3. Ikea announces Denver market entry
Conshohocken, Pa. – Ikea is preparing to begin construction of its first Denver-area store, aiming for a fall 2011 grand opening in Centennial, Colo. more

New York – Textiles and surface design show Printsource will run concurrently with 7W NEXT month during Tabletop Week. more

5. For the record: Conde Nast Archives beach towels
An item in the March 10 edition of HTT Extra incorrectly reported that Home Source International's new beach towel line featuring designs licensed from the Conde Nast Archives included designs from Vogue. The correct magazine is Mademoiselle. more
