1. Kohl’s putting home in the spotlight
Menomonee Falls, Wis. – The home category is taking the spotlight at new and remodeled stores in 2010 at Kohl’s, as the company is adding a revamped department to new and improved-on units over the coming months.  more  
2. Internet 3rd biggest channel for women shoppers
New York – The internet is now the third most-shopped channel for women, lagging only supermarkets and mass merchants, according to a recent report by retail marketing consultancy WSL Strategic Retail.  more

3. Ralph Lauren teams with Kravet
New York – Kravet, a major source for the interior design trade has signed an agreement with Ralph Lauren Home, a division of Polo Ralph Lauren Corp.,in conjunction with its licensing partner Folia, to distribute Ralph Lauren fabrics, wall coverings and trimmings in its 25 showrooms nationwide.  more  
4. Suntex readies new collections
City of Industry, Calif. – Suntex Designs, the new decorative bedding, table linens and bath division of Sun-Yin USA, will launch three bedding designs under a licensing agreement with Lenox, a leading tabletop supplier.  more  
5. Venus to expand two brands
Foot Hill Ranch, Calif. – At the New York Home Fashions Market, Venus Group is graduating its farm-to-finish vertical manufacturing concept into a new house brand, and is stretching its Linea Roma premium hospitality brand beyond resort grounds into private homes.  more  
6. Arlee expands window treatments
New York - Arlee Home Fashions, a longtime vendor of throws, dec pillows, chair pads, runners, place mats and window treatments, has expanded its window division as retail placements continue to pick up.  more  
7. Natco doubles showroom, new product lineup
West Warwick, R.I. – To keep up with its recent fast–paced growth in category offerings and business, Natco Home Fashions has moved into a new and larger New York showroom at 295 Fifth Avenue in time for the New York Home Fashions Market.  more  
8. Avanti to introduce “biggest ever” new assortment at Market
Moonachie, N.J. – Avanti Linens is coming to the New York Home Fashions Market with what it described as “our biggest introduction of new product ever” across multiple product categories.  more  
9. Lenzing to show complete Botanic bed
Charlotte, N.C. – Lenzing will show the first bed made complete using the company’s Tencel botanic fiber during the Insternational Sleep Association’s annual expo here next week.  more
