3. Denyse Schmidt creates quilt for Glass House  
Bridgeport, Conn. – Quilt designer Denyse Schmidt has been invited to participate in the annual Philip Johnson Glass House Commission program, for which she has created a special striped pattern piece.  more

Hendersonville, N.C. – Soft home accessory company Manual Woodworkers & Weavers is touting its revamped website – www.manualww.com -- which highlights its newest and most popular selling products and categories.  more  
6. Allergy, asthma awareness campaign underway  
New York – The Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) is observing National Allergy and Asthma Awareness Month with a detailed fact sheet outlining proper care and use of carpeting to help consumers stay healthy by maintaining improved indoor air quality.  more

8. Chesapeake ends licensing arrangement
