1. NexCen launches Waverly ads with Sandra Lee
New York – Brand management firm NexCen Brands is kicking off its “World of Waverly” ad campaign in Better Homes & Gardens this month, featuring Waverly spokesperson Sandra Lee.  more  
2. Macy’s cuts Bloomie’s catalog in favor of online 
New York – Macy’s Inc. upscale division Bloomingdale’s will shift the focus of its direct-to-consumer business to bloomingdales.com as it phases out the Bloomingdale’s By Mail catalog by early 2009.  more  
 
3. ABC Carpet to show at ICFF  
New York – Specialty resource ABC Carpet will take part for the first time in the International Contemporary Furniture Fair at the Javits Center here, May 17-20.  more  
4. Kohl’s going solar at 50 East Coast stores
Menomonee Falls, Wis. – Mid-tier retailer Kohl’s will convert more than 50 stores in New Jersey, Connecticut and Maryland to solar power, affecting about three-quarters of its 67 locations in the three states.  more  
5. Cotton Inc. launches Natural in 85 malls  
New York – The Cotton Incorporated “Natural” branding campaign is off and running with a four-tier platform of sweepstakes, gift-with-purchase, online and traditional marketing aimed at 85 malls across the country.  more  
6. Cuddledown to spotlight innovation, organics at HD
Portland, Maine – Down and down alternative bedding resource Cuddledown will show its limited edition “World’s Lightest Comforter” and a line of SKAL-certified 100% organic bedding, bath towels and robes at the Hospitality & Design Expo this week, May 14-17.  more  
7. Yazdani to show rare Zohra rug at Domotex Dubai  
Dubai, United Arab Emirates -- A rare carpet valued at more than $1 million will be on display at Domotex Middle East 2008, to be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre May 25-27.  more  
8. Raksha Bella eco-luxe line launches in California 
San Francisco -- Raksha Bella has launched its Classic Collection at select California coastal retailers, a line that founder and designer Carrie Peters said is the result of a spiritual decision to create an “eco-luxe” bedding collection.  more  
9. 7W New York offers temp space for September market 
New York – Showroom building 7W New York will offer temporary exhibit space to textiles manufacturers during New York Home Fashions Market, Sept. 15-19, 2008.  more
