1. Greenweave fabric earns eco-certification
Hackensack, N.J. – Greenweave, the 100% recycled, post-consumer polyester fabric collection from upholstery and decorative fabric resource Weave Corp., has been granted the silver level of Cradle to Cradle certification by MBDC (McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry).  more  
2. Eileen West by UF&D to bow at HD Show
Des Plaines, Ill. – Bedding resource United Feather & Down will showcase its new Eileen West designer line at HD 2008 Expo & Conference and will mark the debut by a Dream Bed Giveaway drawing at its booth.  more  
 
3. Lenzing, Messe Frankfurt double size of Texworld USA
New York – The expanded, fifth edition of Texworld USA will be held July 14-16 at the Javits Convention Center here, in a partnership between Lenzing Fibers and Messe Frankfurt.  more  
4. 1888 Mills adds Basinger, Motley as strategists
Oak Brook, Ill. – Bath manufacturer 1888 Mills has recruited two directors in its “Weaving a Better World” global strategy initiative, reporting directly to ceo Jonathan Simon.  more  
5. Glen Raven promotes Wicker to design director
Glen Raven, N.C. – Glen Raven Custom Fabrics – Americas has promoted Gina Wicker to director of design; she will continue to oversee Sunbrella fabric design and also manage the creative for Glen Raven’s marketing communications and sampling programs.
