1. Vendors brace for LNT filing
New York — As at least two retail liquidators conducted inventory valuations and store closing assessments in upward of 100 Linens ’n Things units that might be shuttered, an ad hoc group of unsecured creditors — including some major suppliers — is scheduled to meet with LNT executives Monday, April 14, according to several executives that supplied the chain.  more  
2. HFPA alerts on new FTC eco-claim guide
New York – Home Fashion Product Association counsel Meeks, Sheppard, Leo & Pillsbury has alerted HFPA members that the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has issued a new set of guidelines covering the use of “environmental marketing claims” for consumer products.  more  
 
3. Intertextile Shanghai Design Competition underway
Hong Kong – The Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles Design Competition returns in 2008, with online voting for the first time, and with the theme for this edition of "East Meets West" to emphasize the promotion of Chinese culture abroad.  more  
4. Polymer Group promotes Kocourek to cfo 
Charlotte, N.C. – Engineered materials producer Polymer Group (PGI) has promoted Robert Kocourek to cfo.  more
