1. Karen Neuburger delivers hotel Tranquility  
San Rafael, Calif. – KN Karen Neuburger was recently commissioned by Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants to create a sleep sanctuary at the Hotel Monaco Chicago.  more  
2. Martha Stewart, Emeril brand take $30M loan  
New York – Home lifestyle resource Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia and its MSLO Emeril Acquisition unit have borrowed $30 million in a term loan from Bank of America, according to an SEC filing yesterday.  more  
 
3. Mohawk to close carpet yarn plant  
Sugar Valley, Ga. – Mohawk Industries plans to permanently shut down its filament carpet yarn manufacturing plant in Dahlonega, Ga., by June, laying off 366 workers employed at the facility.  more  
4. Tuesday Morning promotes Bowman to cfo 
Dallas – Closeout retailer Tuesday Morning has promoted Stephanie Bowman to evp and cfo.  more  
5. Company C recruits Scotto for sales
Concord, N.H. – Company C, a designer and manufacturer of soft home furnishings – rugs, bedding, decorative pillows and throws – has appointed Kristine Scotto vp sales, reporting to Walter Chapin, president.  more
