1. Springs aims at recovery from steep 4Q decline
Sao Paolo, Brazil – Home textiles titan Springs Global posted its fourth quarter results today, after making its full year results available late last week, and the trends were significantly more difficult in the final period of 2007.  more  
2. Wal-Mart debuts ‘Earth Month’ campaign 
Bentonville, Ark. – Leviathan retailer Wal-Mart, key on reducing its environmental footprint, has launched its Earth Month merchandising and marketing campaign to run through April, starting with the first of a series of seven national TV ads today.  more  
 
3. Pier 1 selling HQ building for $104 million
Fort Worth, Texas – Specialty retailer Pier 1 Imports has entered into an agreement to sell its corporate headquarters here for $104 million to a subsidiary of Chesapeake Energy Corporation.  more  
4. Martha Stewart elects two to board
New York – Home lifestyle brand company Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia has named Charlotte Beers and Todd Slotkin to its board of directors, replacing directors Jill Greenthal and Bradley Singer, respectively.  more
