1. GHCL will spin off home textiles, retailing  
Mumbai, India – The board of directors of industrial conglomerate GHCL Ltd. today gave in-principle approval to a plan to restructure the company's business – which would spin off the home textiles sourcing and manufacturing division to a 100%-owned subsidiary, while the retail units would shift India and U.K.-based retail operations to a 100% retail subsidiary.  more  
2. Fabric source Home Fashions International to launch furniture line 
High Point, N.C. -- China-based textile manufacturer Home Fashions International is about to introduce its own line of upholstered furniture.  more  
 
3.  RL scented candles debut   
New York – Scented candles are the newest product extension at the Lauren Ralph Lauren division of Ralph Lauren Home, with four scents offered in the introduction collection.  more  
4. NexCen appoints chief marketing officer, cfo  
New York -- Brand management company NexCen Brands has appointed Joseph DiMuro evp and chief marketing officer; and named Kenneth Hall, evp, cfo and treasurer.  more  
5. Call for High Point new products!
