1. Crown Crafts chairman to ring NASDAQ closing bell today
New York – Randall Chestnut, president, chairman and ceo of infant and juvenile textiles producer Crown Crafts Inc., will ring the closing bell today for the NASDAQ stock exchange.  more  
2. Supima pop-up store open for business
New York – The Supima Association of America’s first-ever pop-up store opened earlier today in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood.  more  
 
3. Profit scarce as NexCen revenues soar  
New York – Brand management company NexCen Brands – owner of the Waverly and Bill Blass brands, among others -- reported a net loss of $4.6 million in 2007, its first full year – even as revenues zoomed to $34.4 million from $1.9 million in the 10-month operational period of 2006.  more  
4. Pillow named new Tommy Bahama ceo
New York – Fashion brand house Oxford Industries has named Terry Pillow ceo of the Tommy Bahama Group, effective June 1, the date that current ceo and founder Tony Margolis will retire. Pillow will join the company on March 17 to begin preparing for the transition; Margolis will remain active on the advisory board for the brand.  more  
5. Global Home Textiles offers sourcing sessions
White Plains, N.Y. – Four seminars and five Country Spotlights are among the content planned for the concurrent Global Home Textiles and Global Home Décor shows to run May 6-8 at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas.  more
