1. Restoration Hardware rejects revised Sears Holdings bid 
Corte Madera, Calif. – Struggling home specialty chain Restoration Hardware said it will proceed with its original plan for a merger/acquisition by an investment group led by Catterton Partners, even after Sears Holdings claimed its revised bid was richer than Catterton’s.  more  
2. Zant exits Bon-Ton for Belk 
York, Pa. and Charlotte, N.C. – Department store operator The Bon-Ton Stores said David Zant resigned Feb. 29 from his post of vice chairman, private brands, merchandise planning and internet marketing. Zant had joined the 280-store company in 2005.  more  
 
3. Sears in marketing campaign with Hearst Magazines  
New York – A bedroom decorated in House Beautiful style is one component in a multi-channel spring makeover campaign just launched by Sears and Hearst Magazines.  more  
4. Springs renews Wamsutta National Sleep campaign  
Washington. -- Springs Global US and its Wamsutta brand are renewing a partnership with the National Sleep Foundation to promote National Sleep Awareness Week 2008, Mar. 3 - 8, and the NSF Great American Sleep Challenge, Mar. 3 - 31.  more  
5. TiA Call for Submissions
Home Textiles Today invites suppliers that exhibited during New York Home Fashions Market and/or the recent New York Home Textiles Market Week/NY International Gift Fair to submit images of their “Best of Show” new products for the TiA -- the Textiles Industry Award -- which spotlights the most trend-right textiles coming out of Winter Market.  more
