1. Earnings flat, Kohl’s sees tougher 2008  
Menomonee Falls, Wis. – While core basics left much to be desired in sales, it was the name branded goods, like Food Network, Simply Vera Vera Wang and Chaps, that proved “exceptionally strong” in the home department in 2007 at Kohl’s stores, the company said in its fourth quarter and yearend earnings call late yesterday.  more

San Francisco, Calif. – Diversified supplier Peking Handicraft, Inc. has introduced the Happy Birthday kitchen textiles line by designer Julia Junkin.  more  
 
3. TiA Call for Submissions
Home Textiles Today invites suppliers that exhibited during New York Home Fashions Market and/or the recent New York Home Textiles Market Week/NY International Gift Fair to submit images of their “Best of Show” new products for the TiA -- the Textiles Industry Award -- which spotlights the most trend-right textiles coming out of Winter Market.  more
