1. Springmaid makeover coming, Wamsutta brand burnished 
At the New York Market -- Springmaid, the signature brand for the former Springs Industries and now one brand in a stable for the Brazilian-owned Springs Global, is set for a relaunch later this year as the new company looks to burnish its branded position.  more  
2. Westgate adds table linens, outdoor dec pillows, pet styles 
At the New York Market – Westgate’s decorative pillow division is traveling outdoors in style with the recent development of the company’s own al fresco fabric.  more  
 
3. Mohawk Home in broadest-ever rug showing 
At the New York Market – This is the first market in recent memory that decorative pillows and throws are not part of Mohawk Home’s latest lifestyle vignette presentations.  more  
4. Revere finds ‘reason for being’ organic   
At the New York Market – For this market, Revere Mills created its first organic cotton collection, and gave it a textured body that it hopes is uncommon among other “green” bath towels in the marketplace.  more  
5. Arlee back to basics with key fabrics  
At the New York Market – Keeping in mind the slouching economy and the “unknowns” in China -- in terms of price hikes and labor issues – Arlee is concentrating on its basic offerings and focusing its introductions on its key fabrications, like faux suede and brushed twill, to keep the momentum at retail.  more  
6. Glenoit goes gourmet, Ex-Cell goes EVA   
At the New York Market – Glenoit’s rugs division is in the kitchen cooking up new styles for the at-home chef, and even the would-be cook with delusions of grandeur at the stove. Under its own Chef’s Kitchen label, the company this market has made its cushion mat assortment “bigger and better,” said Debbie Powell, vp, merchandising.  more  
7. Avanti hits the Bahamas with Tommy 
At the New York Market – Embellished towel extraordinaire Avanti Linens has partnered with Revman International to create a new licensed line of upscale embellished bath ensembles donning the Tommy Bahama brand and its iconic tropical themes.  more  
8. Allure brings bling to bath    
At the New York Market – As Allure Home Creations vp of design and marketing, Gaby Colquitt, put it, “This market, ‘bling’ is big for us. More bling and shine have added newness for us.”  more  
9. Direct Home covers the bed    
At the New York Market – A year since adding top of bed to its growing line of wares, importer Direct Home has come to market with a broad program of chenille tufted bedspreads.  more  
10. Crown Crafts widens quarterly profit  
Gonzales, La. – Infant and juvenile products manufacturer reported third-quarter net income of $1.2 million, up 19.9% over profit of $0.6 million for the same period one year ago.  more  
11.  Fausel honored by green group   
Washington -- Steve Fausel, whose Steve Fausel Companies owns home textiles supplier Columbine Cody/Lamont, is to be honored with the Natural Resources Council of America’s Public Service Award here today.  more  
12. Crate and Barrel taps Descartes for home delivery  
Waterloo, Ontario -- Descartes Systems Group, a global on-demand software-as-a-service provider, said that Crate and Barrel has deployed its logistics management systems to support approximately 80% of its delivery volume across the United States.  more
