Hear Ye, Hear Ye
Tis the season. No, not the one you're thinking about.
‘Tis the season to face the fact that the opening volley of winter trade shows is mere weeks away.
In case you haven't seen the many emails we're sent out on the subject, here's the skinny if you are exhibiting at any of these shows and want to be included in HTT's editorial coverage.
• Heimtextil: The deadline for submitting photos and information about
new introductions is Friday, Dec. 14. Send to HTTHeimtextil@gmail.
• Atlanta Rug Market: The deadline is Monday, Dec. 10. Send to HomeTextilesToday@
• New York International Gift Fair: The deadline is Friday, Jan. 4. Send to HTTSamplesNY@gmail.com.
• Las Vegas Market: The deadline is Friday, Jan. 4. Send to HTTLasVegas@gmail.com.
Now, some parameters. Even if you send 20 photos, we are only going to use one per show. So edit wisely and focus on what you really want to highlight.
Your email should include: your name; company name; phone number and email; showroom location; product name and a brief description.
Digital product images should be at least 4 by 6 inches at 300 dpi (1,200 by 1,800 pixels). To reduce attachment sizes for email, we recommend sending your
images in JPEG file format. We can also accept .TIFF,.PSD, and .EPS files.
If your files are too large to e-mail, send an inquiry to jmurphy@hometextilestoday.
com and we will provide an FTP internet server address for
Please set your digital camera on the highest quality/size setting. Also,be mindful of quality considerations. If you are photographing a straightforward product (as opposed to a room set), be sure exposures are correct, even (no dark spots, no hot spots) and that all edges of the product are visible within the frame.
And if you have any questions, or if you have news that's not strictly about product introductions (expanded showroom, new category entry, personnel changes, etc.) you can email me directly a email@example.com.
It is, I know, an extra bit of madness in an already crazy season, but don't miss the opportunity for some free editorial exposure. It's the gift that keeps on giving!
