Martha Hacked?!
For a brief moment today, somewhere between 3:28 and 3:41 p.m., Martha Stewart was "linked" with Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker and the Indianapolis Colts football team.
For those 13 or so minutes, a link to a live webcast showcasing Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia's presentation at Goldman Sachs' Communacopia XVI Conference sent me - several times, I will add -- directly to a blog run by two brothers who are fans of the Indianapolis Colts football team.
On this site, http://www.18to88.com/Articles/starwars2007.htm, the pair presents their 2007 NFL season predictions by comparing team players to Star Wars characters.
I doubted that I would be the first to report this matter, but I nonetheless called MSLO's corporate communications office to alert them.
Surprisingly, they had no idea. As the woman who answered the phone said upon trying the link herself, "Oh my God! Oh, no!"
But with typical MSLO efficiency, the company disabled the link and made the correction by 3:43 p.m.
Sorry you missed it.
