Lillian Vernon promotes LoRusso to sr. vp, merch.

RYE, NY — Lillian Vernon Corp. has promoted Lina LoRusso to senior vp, merchandising from her previous position of vp, product development.
She will oversee the company's merchants, and is responsible for product development and corporate buying. Her department develops and designs 3,000 new products annually for all nine Lillian Vernon catalogs and the company's website. "Lina is a true merchant who exemplifies dedication and commitment," said Lillian Vernon, founder and ceo. "She has worked in many different areas of our business and understands the changing nature of the direct marketing industry. Her vision will help to guide us as we celebrate our 50th anniversary, and into the future."
LoRusso began her career at Lillian Vernon in 1982. She became an assistant buyer in 1986, and then a buyer. In 1988, she was appointed merchandising manager and in 1994 she became director of corporate product development.
