Donna Karan ceo to step down after acquisition

NEW YORK — When luxury goods conglomerate LVMH completes its acquisition of Donna Karan International, Donna Karan ceo John Idol will step down from his post.
LVMH said last week that the post will be taken over by Giuseppe Brusone, senior vp, acquisitions and brand development for the LVMH Fashion Group. The move suggests LVMH intends to actively pursue global development of the Donna Karan brand.
"We've developed Donna Karan New York and DKNY brands into two of the most admired brands in the world," Idol said. "I am confident that as part of LVMH the company will continue to grow and thrive."
