Sure Fit looks to add some muscle to its slipcover lineup

NEW YORK — Sure Fit Inc. has expanded its product offering yet again, but this time it has gone for a more masculine feel.
Prima and Herringbone are the newest fabrics from the New York-based manufacturer, known for its wide variety of sofa, love seat and chair slipcovers. Both are decidedly masculine and, according to Sure Fit, are "suitable for covering that favorite grungy chair he won't part with or temporarily redecorating an office or den while he decides what he really wants."
Prima is a faux leather fabric made from polypropylene and is offered in black, cordovan and cobblestone colorways. A major benefit to this fabric is its resistance to pet hair of all kinds and the ease with which it can be cleaned. A sofa-sized slipcover will carry a retail price point of $129. Coordinating two-tone pillows are also available for $20.
The classic Herringbone, made from a blend of polyester, olefin and cotton, is available in a neutral honey/beige colorway, which easily coordinates with many different looks. Retail price points range from $139 for a sofa size cover.
Both styles will also be offered in loveseat and chair sizes.
"As we go along, we've found that the decorating trend is more casual," said Liana Toscanini, director of public relations. "In general, these slipcovers fit that fashion trend. They both have that clean, contemporary feel that people are decorating with today."
