George Little, Decorex to team up

NEW YORK — George Little Management LLC and Decorex USA Ltd. recently announced plans to produce Decorex USA concurrently with GLM's New York Home Textiles Show next year, April 12 to 15, at New York's Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
The intention of the collaboration of the Home Textiles Show's exhibit of bed, bath, linen and home accessories and Decorex USA's showcase of high-end interior design resources is to offer retail buyers and other attendees cross-market opportunities.
Decorex USA is the American version of Decorex International, which is presented annually in London. Last May, it was held in New York.
When it is presented with the New York Home Textiles Show next year, it will showcase 150 exhibitors' high-end interior design products — furnishing fabrics, furniture, floor and wall coverings, garden furnishings, lighting, kitchen and bath, tabletop and decorative accessories — in more than 25,000 net square feet of convention center space. More than 4,000 professional attendees related to the industry are expected to participate.
"Decorex and the New York Home Textiles Show have a similar brief, which is presentation of the best of their respective market sectors," said Ian Thompson, president of Decorex USA. "Both events also have significant international exhibitor bases and universal attendee appeal. We believe that co-location will have significant benefits for the interior design community, as well as importers and exporters participating in both events."
