VALDESE ADDS COSGRIFFS
VALDESE, NC — Stu Cosgriff and Stacy Cosgriff have joined Valdese Weavers.
Stu Cosgriff will be the senior manager of the company's sales efforts from its new New York showroom at 37 East 28 Street. His daughter Stacy will be part of the sales team that includes Jennifer White and Sara Rosenbaum who have been with the firm. The group will be responsible for residential and contract sales in the Northeast, eastern Canada and South America. Stu Cosgriff reports to Joe Feege, senior vp. He also will work with Martha Smith, marketing direction for home textiles, who is based here.
The appointment of the Cosgriffs represents an expansion of the company's efforts in the Northeast "which is our biggest geographical area in sales," said Mike Shelton, president.
The Cosgriffs formerly represented Mastercraft Fabrics in the Northeast, Stu Cosgriff for 30 years.
The father/daughter sales team represent the second and third generation of Mastercraft that was founded by Stu Cosgriff's late father-in-law Harry Turpan with Andrew Major.
ROBINSON JOINS WEARBEST SIL-TEX
GARFIELD, NJ — Mindy Robinson has joined Wearbest Sil-tex Mills here as a sales representative calling on residential jobbers.
Robinson, formerly with Valdese Weavers, reports to Tom Notaro, sales director. "Mindy represents an expansion of our New York sales effort bringing us another strong sales performance," said Irwin Gasner, president.
