Waverly adds Bella Tuscany for fall

NEW YORK — Waverly's key decorative fabric collection for fall is Bella Tuscany, a 13 print, 10 woven pattern design statement embracing both the understated villa style and more rustic look that are typical of that area of Italy.
Along with the fabrics, Waverly is introducing several luxury bed ensembles using the fabrics, sheets, and decorative pillows along with accessory items such as a matelasse coverlet from Divatex, one of its licensees.
The presentation also includes furniture from Lexington Home Brands, its furniture licensee, and rugs from Feizy, its floor coverings licensee.
The prints range in design statements from Bramsole, the lead pattern, which is derived from a lush Baroque painting to Chianti, a flower strewn jacquard.
The breadth of the collection, explained Christiane Michaels, president of Waverly Lifestyle Group, has opened opportunities for product differentiation in areas like decorative pillows, which are shown in a wide array of styles and shapes.
The wovens embrace many constructions, from two-sided cross-dyed constructions to a gingham with a diamond dobby on top to Lucia Lisere, an elegant ribbon construction and damask stripes.
Summer Garden, a pigment-printed cotton duck collection of lighthearted designs, brings nostalgia into today's lifestyle. The six-print, two-woven grouping reflects the influence of a watercolor artist, said Pam Maffei-Toolan, design director.
Waverly also is introducing its Williamsburg American Spirit Collection, a group of seven wovens joined with four cotton voile yarn-dyed sheers.
A ready-made bedding and window collection, Growing Up with Waverly, offers a series of lighthearted prints keyed to young girls and moving up the age levels to young adults.
