Berkshire launches new luxury cotton blankets

WARE, MA -Staking out a claim in the tumultuous, wide-open market for adult bed blankets, Berkshire Blanket Inc. is launching a luxury cotton blanket collection at this week's home textiles market.
Moving beyond its core business in fleece blankets and throws, Berkshire is taking a good/better/best approach with styles and price-points ranging from a solid-color textured cotton all the way up to a mercerized pima cotton blanket.
At an opening wholesale price point of $39.99 for the twin is Rockwell, an all-cotton construction. Next up, at $59.99, is Stockbridge, a blend of 50 percent cotton and 50 percent cotton chenille. At the top of the line is Luxury Cotton, a mercerized Pima cotton for an ultra-soft hand.
All styles are available in a core palette of sugar white, midnight blue and nutmeg. Fashion colors are whisper pink, pewter green and overall blue.
A major introduction in throws is the Luxor Throw group, a trendy collection of lodge looks, stripes and plaids capitalizing on the strong run faux fur has had in the market. The throw is $49.99, and colors and styles include evergreen, celestial, snow time and Scottish fling plaid.
