Melbourne, Australia – The Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council of India (Texprocil) launched the “Brand India Show” here today.
The two-day event features 70 Indian producers of textiles, fashion and interior products. The show will move on to Sydney on Nov. 16 and 17.
Both events also feature seminars and panel discussions.
Australia imported US$ 6.2 billion in textiles and clothing products globally last year, but imports from India amounted to only US$201 million or a market share of 3.26%.
“There is a vast scope for exploring this niche market for designer clothing and high quality fashion fabrics,” according to Texprocil.
