Jellybean gives birth to Babybean line by Home Comfort

-- Home Textiles Today, 11/6/2009 9:43:00 AM

Atlanta – Home Comfort Inc. is expanding its line of Jellybean accent rugs with the addition of Babybean styles for the younger set.

The launch is slated for January 2010 during the winter markets, including the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market and the Atlanta International Area Rug Market at the AmericasMart.

Rusty Boone, evp, sales and marketing, said the company was prompted to add children’s products to the line by requests from retailers and consumers.

The initial line will comprise 25 designs for babies' and kids' rooms.

“It was a lot of fun finding new artists to work with on Babybean,” said Renee Ringstad, vp, merchandise. “We’ve put together some really cute designs by some very talented designers. It’s always an exciting time when you bring new products to market. We’re looking forward to introducing the initial patterns and making a lot more adorable kids designs throughout the year ahead.”

Like Jellybean rugs, Babybean pieces are made from an ultra soft blend of acrylic and polypropylene fibers and are machine washable. They can be used both indoors and outdoors. A 2-foot-by-3-foot rug is set to retail for $29.99.
