Roswell, Ga. – Belgium soft floor covering company Louis de Poortere is embarking on a new North American subsidiary stationed here to service the U.S. and Canadian markets with its rugs and carpets.
The company originally established a commercial subsidiary in North America about 50 years ago and sustained it for most of the past five decades.
But “due to economic difficulties” the company said it suffered in the 1990s, this effort was “partially broken” for a period.
Now, LDP is “reverting to our traditional roots,” Pascal Dryon, president, explained, with the opening of the new subsidiary – for which Eddie Hollier has been appointed as director.
The website for the American markets is www.depoorterelouis.com and it features the company’s new collections for the United States and Canada.
