Plano, Texas – John Kendig, who has been vp-direct transition, overseeing this year’s merging of the JCPenney direct and retail businesses, has been named vp of the company’s window coverings and furniture businesses, a new post.
Greg Franko, who was divisional vp of the window coverings business, now is director of the company’s custom decorating business. No successor has been named to his position.
Rod Franz continues as senior buyer for custom decorating and Made to Measure, and reports to Franko.
Steve Dinkins, divisional vp for furniture, now reports to Kendig. He previously had reported to Jeff Allison, evp, home. The divisional vps of bed, bath, luggage and housewares continue to report directly to Allison.
Kendig joined the company as vp of home for the direct business, which included both the catalog and internet businesses. He formerly was with SelfCare and earlier was with Neiman Marcus. He reports to Allison.
