New Eastern Accents collection takes limited edition approach

Chicago -- Eastern Accents is launching Atelier, a new line of high-end bedding designed to have more of a ready-to-wear flavor in terms of newness and a limited edition appeal in terms of availability.
“The collection will be programmed like the apparel market – short runs, sell through and sell out – then we’ll start the cycle over with new styles,” explained Ridvan Tatargil, president.
The look will be more casual than the company’s other, dressier and more formal divisions – Eastern Accents, Feathersound and RBCasa. “We will be using more expensive fabrics and trims, it will be more contemporary looking and have fewer pillows.” The pillows will feature detailing like hand painted designs and embroideries.
Atelier will sell for under $2,000 for a complete bed, Tatrgil said. It will be sold via the internet to the trade only. “It doesn’t work for catalogs because of the short runs and limited duration,” Tatargil added.
In addition, Eastern Accents has formed a business relationship with Italian luxury bedding company RBCasa. Eastern Accents will market, distribute and design for the American market “to help the company better fit here.”
