Unifi Earns Russell 3000 Listing

Greensboro, N.C. — Polyester and nylon textured yarn manufacturer Unifi Inc. has been selected for inclusion in the Russell 3000 Index, which measures the performance of the largest 3,000 U.S. companies.

Launched in 1984, Russell determines membership for its equity indexes primarily by objective, market-capitalization rankings and style attributes, and membership remains in place for one year.

"Rejoining the Russell 3000 Index is a tribute to the operational progress made by our new leadership team over the past year," said Bill Jasper, president and ceo of Unifi, adding the achievement reflects "the positive momentum we have seen in our results" based on the company's new long-term plan.
