Natori Taps Mosso, Cohen Rep Firms

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 7/7/2008

New York — In a move that marks the company's effort to bring the Natori Collection of home textiles to the small independent boutique retailing community, Christian Mosso & Associates has been signed to represent the collection in its Atlanta showroom as well as throughout the Southwest region of the United States.

The partnership with CMA, which is based at the America's Mart in Atlanta, begins on July 8 during the Atlanta International Gift and Home Furnishings Market. This is the first of several sales associations Natori plans to work with to cover the country, said James Booth, svp, marketing, public relations and licensing.

In addition, The Natori Collection has signed on with Richard Cohen Collection, based at 7 West 34 Street here, to represent the gift segment of the assortment, which includes throws and decorative pillows.

Natori has always been about gifts and gift giving, said Josie Natori, company president and ceo. The gift collection concentrates on luxurious fabrications, signature Natori embellishments and shape, Booth noted.

The relationship with Richard Cohen will begin on Aug. 18 "during the opening of the New York Gift and Home Furnishings Market," Booth said. The company will represent the Natori Gift Collection throughout the Northeast.

"Our objective is to reach and better serve the smaller, independent boutique retailer. These retailers have a great understanding of luxury product and the customer service that is so important at these price points. We are thrilled to be part of the CMA showroom presentation at America's Mart."

The Natori Collection, which includes the licensed product by JLA Home, features Natori bedding, Natori lounge and sleepwear, and the Natori line of decorative pillows and throws.
