Tucker, Ga. — Braided rug and accessory manufacturer Homespice Décor has a new sibling in the form of sister company Green World Rugs.
While Homespice caters to the high-end and luxury markets, the new Green World Rugs serves discount and mid-tier retailers with both company-branded product and private label programs and direct sourcing options.
These rugs comprise more aggressively priced 100% jute varieties. Jute represents a new medium for the companies, said Junior Gupta, president of both Green World and Homespice Décor.
"Jute is an inexpensive fiber that offers durability, great color and an affordable price," he noted, adding, "Green World Rugs will provide customers with economical rugs produced with Homespice Decor's color and design capabilities, backed by the same commitment to customer service."
The first Green World Rugs line will debut in July at the Atlanta International Area Rug Market.
It will include six designs — russet, coffee, spice, timber trail, Manchester and mustard seed. Suggested retail prices include $14.95 for a 20-inch-by-30-inch oval, $19.95 for a 20-by-30 rectangle, $29.95 for a 27-by-45 oval, and $39.95 for a 27-by-45 rectangle.
