FTC Green Guides Workshop Alert

New York — The Home Fashion Products Association alerts members and others that the Federal Trade Commission will hold a free Green Guides workshop on July 15 live in Washington and via webcast.
Geared toward the building and textiles industries, this third-in-a-series event keys on regulatory review of the "Guides for the Use of Environmental Marketing Claims," commonly known as the Green Guides.
The workshop will probe eco-claims and consumer perception of such claims. The Commission's first event examined the marketing of carbon offsets and renewable energy certificates; the second examined green packaging claims.
