WestPoint Promotes Two

New York — WestPoint Home last week elevated two executives: Alan Kennedy to svp of sales, and Linda Del Pozo to svp of bath merchandising.
Both will report to John Piazza, who in late May was named the company's new president and ceo.
Kennedy came to the previous incarnation of the company, WestPoint Stevens, in 2001 when it acquired the Chatham Consumer Products Division of CMI Industries. He had joined Chatham in 1987. He was initially vp of merchandising for WestPoint's newly formed Basic Bedding Division, which included the Vellux operations; Chatham blankets operations; and subsidiary Liebhardt Inc. In 2002, Kennedy was promoted to vp sales for basic bedding. Most recently, he was svp for basic bedding and bath.
In his new role, he will continue to hold his basic bedding responsibilities. Geri Wetmore, Tim Nobles, Tom Burke, and Bill Butler will report directly to him.
Del Pozo joined WestPoint Home in 1987 as a product coordinator for national and regional mass channels. Through the years, she has been promoted to a variety of positions: business manager for both national and regional mass bedding, director of product development for bed and bath, and vp product management and sourcing development for bed and bath. Most recently, Del Pozo was vp global supply chain management for bedding and bath.
Rodger Cooke and Heidi McKinney will report directly to Del Pozo.
