ITG recruits Moore

Diversified manufacturer International Textile Group has named Willis Moore evp and cfo.

Moore replaces former evp, cfo Gary Smith, who announced last month his plans to leave ITG for other career opportunities.

Moore joins ITG from Polymer Group, where he was vp and cfo. Prior to that he was evp and cfo at fiber producer Unifi.

Along with providing a wide range of fabrics for industries from apparel to automotive, ITG produces Burlington House decorative fabric and interior textiles. ITG recently licensed the Burlington House name to Homestead International for the production of home furnishings for the retail market.

Big Lots appoints Chapin

Closeout retailer Big Lots has named Christopher Chapin svp of store operations, reporting to ceo Steve Fishman. Chapin joins the 1,300-unit chain after more than two decades of senior retail operations experience with consumer products companies including Frito-Lay, PepsiCo, YUM Brands, Priceline.com and Limited Brands. He was most recently president of FacilitySource, a worldwide retail facility maintenance and management business.

Annie Selke taps Palmer

Tonio Palmer has joined the Annie Selke Cos. as ceo, according to Whit Selke, co-owner and head of sourcing and distribution for the business, which is the parent of Dash & Albert Rug Co., Pine Cone Hill Fine Linens and Sleepwear, and Potluck Studios tableware.

Palmer will focus on building and implementing the corporate infrastructure, Selke said. Most recently, Palmer was director of marketing at the Wharton School's Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania.

Passarelli joins Jeffrey

Jeffrey Fabrics has hired Angela Passarelli to develop new business opportunities. Passarelli has nine years of experience in apparel textiles and 23 on the home furnishings side. She ran the Home Hospitality Division at Consoltex Inc. in Canada for the past 15 years, spending 32 years at the company.
