JCP Rewires Financial Group

Plano, Texas — With the coming retirement on June 3 of longtime JCPenney executive William Alcorn, who is svp, controller and chief procurement officer for non-resale goods and services, the $19.9 billion retailer has made a range of promotions and hires in its finance organization.

Dennis Miller is promoted to svp and controller, reporting to Robert Cavanaugh, evp and cfo. Miller joined JCP in 1974, and for a period was cfo at the Eckerd Drugstores division, since sold off by the company.

Bruce Kilkowski is vp and director of procurement, bringing several decades of experience at Procter & Gamble, First USA Bank, Capital One Financial and Underwriters Labs. He joins JCP from Bank of America where he served most recently as vp, procurement. Kilkowski will report to Cavanaugh.

Robert Johnson is named vp vice president and director of planning, budgeting and forecasting, reporting to Tom Clerkin, svp finance. Johnson joined JCPenney in 1976, and is currently vp and director of investor relations, a position he has held since 2005.

Phillip Sanchez is promoted to vp and director of investor relations; he brings over 20 years of financial management experience to his new role. He most recently served as a divisional vp, associate director of investor relations.
