IHFC President Lindh Resigns; Miller Steps In
Tom Lindh resigned as president and ceo of the International Home Furnishings Center, the showroom building complex announced on May 7.
The IHFC said Lindh, who has been with the building since 1999, is being replaced on an interim basis by Bruce Miller, who was ceo for 20 years until his retirement in 2006.
The IHFC didn't give a reason for Lindh's sudden departure, but said a search is underway for his permanent successor.
Rob Spilman, chairman of the IHFC board, thanked Lindh for his service and said, "We have a remarkable staff remaining at the IHFC and, with Bruce's leadership, will continue to keep our operations running smoothly as we search for a successor."
Lindh joined the IHFC as evp and was named president and coo in 2003. He assumed the ceo's duties after Miller's retirement.
Miller has remained on the IHFC board since retiring.

Kohl's Names Boneparth and Jones to Board
Mid-tier retailer Kohl's has elected Peter Boneparth and Dale Jones as new board members, effective immediately; they will initially serve on the governance and nominating committee.
Boneparth was most recently president and ceo of major apparel and footwear company Jones Apparel Group.
Jones is evp for leadership development at consulting firm Revolution LLC, and was formerly in the global consumer retail practice and a managing partner of the ceo practice at search firm Heidrick & Struggles.
Stein Mart Hires Katz
Softlines retailer Stein Mart has named Glori Katz svp marketing and advertising.
She joins the 284-store retailer with more than 25 years in marketing and advertising to her credit.
Katz was most recently with Sears, which she joined in 1996. She was named director of advertising there in 2000, and previously worked at Jockey International as vp-advertising.
