New Wal-Mart site offers budgeting tips

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 5/9/2008 11:14:00 AM

Bentonville, Ark. – Today Wal-Mart launched a new web site offering advice about how to stretch a dollar during tough times. The site, www.walmart.com/savemore, features tips from author and media personality Ellie Kay.

Wal-Mart merchants and consumers are allowed to contribute content to the site about how to spend wisely and save money.

“Millions of Americans are currently facing tough times, and it’s important people know there are simple solutions to save money, and ways to spend their dollars thoughtfully,” said Kay. “I’m pleased to share what I have learned from experience, so we can help families evaluate their spending and make smart, lasting decisions.”

The site also will host podcasts and an interactive online chat for consumers to ask Kay questions later this spring.
