Fourth-generation Siegels take helm at Elrene Home

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 2/12/2008

New York — The fourth generation of the Siegel family is sitting at the head of the table now at Elrene Home Fashions.

Mark Siegel, who devoted the past 41 years of his career to his family's table linens and kitchen textiles company — which was founded in 1922 by his grandfather — is retiring but remaining on the board as chairman emeritus.

His two sons, Bryan and Craig, are in turn moving up the ranks. Bryan now assumes the chairman of the board and ceo posts; Craig is president.

In related news, Frank Giacomini has been promoted and adds coo to his title, which also includes the role of cfo.Bryan told HTT that his father and mentor will remain available for consulting.

Elrene is the country's second-largest supplier of table linens. In 2007 the company reported $72 million in category sales. Elrene has more recently also become a top player in the kitchen textiles business, posting $24 million in sales.

Late last year, the company added soft window treatments to its roster of home textiles offerings.
