Lacoste Home Adds Casual

Home Line Features Bed, Bath and Beach

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 2/12/2008

New York — Casual, a range of textures, delicate wovens, fine gauge cottons, and details including ribbon appliqués and embroideries, highlight a new lifestyle in the growing family of the Lacoste home collection for bed, bath and beach.

Casual features a new array of 300-count cotton percale sheets — Crocod'il, a solid; and Crocod'elle, a stripe, that take color cues from the Lacoste fall/winter fashion collection using the company's signature fabrics translated for home fashions. The queen flats are $45. Coordinated decorative embroidered sheets are $50 for the queen.

Four patterns, ranging from prints to unique patches mixed with signature fabrics are featured in the top of bed collection. Among them is Crocopois, a bold polka dot mixed with tiny crocodiles in two tone colors, reversing to a positive version in the duvet and shams. The queen beds range from $180 to $200.

The Club collection has been enlarged to include three new beds, according to Jerry Haggerty, national sales manager for Lacoste Home. Yarn dye cottons and men's shirting stripes are highlights in this group, which feature sheets from $79 to $99 for the queen, and $249 to $299 for the full/queen duvet sets.

In the bath and beach collection, Lacoste is introducing a tennis towel to join its other sports towels. The tennis towel is 14-by-38 and is $15. In bath, the solid color Crocod'il has 18 new colors to the original 12 shades, while Crocod'elle has four new stripe versions.

Throw blankets are featured in wool, merino wool and a performance quality fleece/jersey combo as well as pillows in thick sweatshirt-weight jersey.
