Elliott Bolsters Sales Team at Couristan

Fort Lee, N.J. — Couristan is bolstering its sales management team with the appointment of industry veteran Ron Elliott to the newly created post of Western regional manager.
Elliott comes to the 81-year-old rug and broadloom company from Tufenkian Artisan Carpets, where he served as national sales manager and is credited with helping the company expand its distribution, select new products and drive marketing initiatives for key accounts. Prior to that, he spent 20 years on the retail side, working as a senior buyer and merchandise manager for several home furnishings chains.
In his new stint, Elliott directs several territory managers within a 25-state region, expanding the company's dealer network and increasing brand awareness. Elliott is also working to increase the company's number of territory managers in selected markets.
He reports to chairman George Couri and Ron Couri, president and ceo. "I'm confident that with his leadership in the Western region we can continue our sales growth in a challenging marketplace and achieve our strategic goals on a nationwide basis," said Ron Couri.
Added George Couri: "With Ron on board, we now have a complete senior management team that our sales staff can leverage in order to gain optimum exposure for products within our residential division."
