By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 2/4/2008
San Francisco — The board of directors of diversified home textiles supplier American Pacific Enterprises announced that the position of ceo will be filled jointly by Kaela Forker and Jeremy Ozorio.
The duo replaces Jack Salisbury, who retired in June 2007 from the company, which is majority-owned by Genstar Capital.
Forker, based here, joined the company in 1992 and has spent most of those 15 years in sales, culminating in her post as evp of sales and then chief merchandising officer. "I feel like I've grown up with American Pacific. It's like family to me, and I am so happy to be given the opportunity to help lead this incredible team of people," she said.
In her new role, Forker will oversee design, merchandising, and sales.
Ozorio, based in Hong Kong, is a 20-year veteran in the textiles industry and is in his eighth year with the company. He has been svp of Asia operations for the past six years, and will continue to oversee global sourcing, development and operations in Asia — and will now pick up the added responsibility of domestic operations.
"We are a creative, dynamic company with exceptional global teams. I am excited at the opportunity to build on those strengths," said Ozorio.
Shared areas of responsibility will be human resources, finance and corporate strategy.
