Carpenter Co. Lauded for Innovation, Value

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 2/4/2008

Richmond, Va. — Leading comfort cushioning manufacturer Carpenter Co. has announced what it calls "the widest introduction of bio-based foam and fiber products in the industry." The company will showcase its newest environmentally-safe lines during Home Fashions Market.

Noting that Carpenter has been active in preserving the environment by reducing emissions and using eco-friendly products for more than 50 years, vp of consumer products group sales and marketing Dan Schechter said, "These practices have always been our focus and are a great point of pride for us."

Meanwhile, Carpenter has won the Consumers Digest magazine's Best Buy Award for its Beyond Down comforter. The Best Buy citation is based on product quality and value. "We have always known that the Beyond Down comforter, as well as the entire Beyond Down Collection, featuring the only true synthetic down available, is the best alternative to actual down in the market," said Schechter. "We are thrilled Consumer Digest agrees with us."

In addition to its new eco-friendly lines and the Beyond Down Collection, Carpenter Co. this market will offer a line of sleeping products for children ages five through teen under its Sleep Better brand, which was developed in conjunction with sleep authority Dr. Michael Breus to optimize restorative sleep and proper growth development, the company said.

Features and benefits of the Sleep Better Signature Collection range from snore reduction pillows to aromatherapy fabrics to hand constructed mattress pads, among other items.
