Oriental Weavers USA Adds Underlays

Dalton, Ga. — Area rug resource Oriental Weavers USA will expand its product offering by adding area rug underlays, seeking to provide its retailers rug padding in an assortment of sizes, shapes and price points. Mike Riley, president of OW-USA, said, "We have the production resources, marketing, and warehousing to provide the same high level of service, quality, and merchandising opportunities available with our area rug lines, including fill rates at or above 97%."

The goods will be produced in Egypt, China, and the U.S., with inventory being warehoused in Dalton, Ga. As with its area rug lines, point-of-purchase displays and merchandising collateral will be available for stores carrying the lines. Spearheading the launch will be Maria Metropoulos-Ward, who was recently named vp of national accounts.
