Oriental Weavers Hires Maria Ward, Scott Higgins

Dalton, Ga. — Oriental Weavers USA has appointed Maria Ward to the newly created position of vp of national accounts.
Ward, formerly vp sales with Vantage/Leggett & Platt, has more than 30 years of experience in the industry, including various marketing and sales roles at Milliken, including national accounts manager.
In her new position with Oriental Weavers, Ward will report to Sam Belak, svp of sales, and will work to develop new channels of business and grow existing account bases.
In related news, OW has named Scott Higgins business manager for its account with home center retailer Home Depot.
Scott's responsibilities include acting as OW's corporate liaison with Home Depot and continuing to develop opportunities for partnerships in the chain's area rug category. He reports to Belak.
Higgins comes to Oriental Weavers from Mohawk Industries, where he served in various capacities, including business manager for the Lowe's account, territory sales manager, and most recently manufacturing process control facilitator.
