Kane Carpet Expands

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 1/7/2008

Calhoun, Ga. — Woven carpet, area rug and roll-runner manufacturer Kane Carpet recently expanded its headquarters and distribution facility here by 150% to more than 200,000 square feet.

The enlarged site, which formerly measured 85,000 square feet, will house a substantial stock of the company's own woven carpets, area rugs and roll runners. The facility will be equipped with rows of carpet-cutting tables, a new and expanded customer service center and high-tech carpet fabrication machinery.

"This facility will provide the infrastructure to cut and ship quickly, have an immense stock on hand, and increase the number of customer service professionals," said Herb Frank, president of Kane.

Kane will host a ribbon-cutting celebration and gala dinner Jan. 21, 2008 at 4:30 p.m., following the Atlanta International Area Rug market.

Kane Carpet was founded in 1947. Aside from the showroom at its headquarters, the company also operates two off-site permanent showrooms — one in Atlanta's AmericasMart and another at the Las Vegas World Market Center.
