EA Extends Green Packaging to Display Solutions

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 1/7/2008

Suwanee, Ga. — Packaging company EA International is expanding its eco-friendly offerings with the recent addition of three new models that work not only as packaging but also as signage and in-store displays.

"We see the whole industry as moving in a more eco-friendly direction to achieve a complete retail package — not just bags but the signage and displays and whole store concept," explained Deborah Mills, vp product development and design.

The XBoard, Mondi and Xtreme models are made in South Africa and represent a newly created version of lightweight honeycomb products that are water- and moisture-resistant. They are easy to cut, shape, fold, print and laminate using minimal tools. All are recyclable.

XBoard ideally can be used for furniture in-store signage and point-of-purchase displays. The Mondi and Xtreme models are also good for signage and displays, and can also be used for packaging.

In other company news, EA International in September was awarded as a finalist in the Eco-Friendly Packaging category at the 2007 Package Design Awards during the HBA show in New York.

The company won for its EA Green collection of eco-friendly cosmetic bags, made of organic cottons, hemp and other PVC substitutes.
