Mayor Issues Market Proclamation

White Plains, N.Y.— New York mayor Michael Bloomberg issued a proclamation recognizing the two 2008 “Home Textiles Market Weeks” of Jan. 31-Feb. 7 and Aug. 14-21, which are the time frames when, in conjunction with the New York Int'l Gift Fair produced by George Little Management (GLM), mid and upmarket home textiles suppliers show at the Javits Center and Pier 94, and at showrooms at 7West 34th St. and 230 Fifth Aves
The mayor also lauded “New York Market: Built for Business,” the tagline and logo created by GLM with the two showroom buildings. “We're delighted to have City Hall's acknowledgment,” said Penny Sikalis, GLM vp, adding that “nearly 500 mid-to-high end home textiles vendors” are involved.
