Q Collection Junior offers eco-friendly bedding

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 11/1/2007 11:18:00 AM

New York – Home furnishings design house Q Collection has debuted Q Collection Junior to bring its sustainable furniture and bedding approach to children’s products.

The product range is recommended by Healthy Child Healthy World, a non-profit organization helping parents find non-toxic and environmentally-friendly goods, the company said.

Q Collection Junior cribs in the Cielo and Solare models are certified by Greenguard Environmental Institute, which the company said is a first for the product category. Greenguard evaluates and verifies products that meet low emission standards for a range of toxins.

"Some things in life you just can't avoid. But we're happy to say that bringing unhealthy glues, dyes, and wood finishes into your child's room is no longer one of them," said Jesse Johnson, co-founder of Q Collection.

The bedding line includes crib sets, individual sheets and pillows, coordinating unisex prints and solids in soft, mid-tone colors; themes range from traditional to modern. Accessories include soft blocks made from extra bedding fabric and toy bears made from Q Collection sustainable velvet.
